Today we look at another Wrestle Crate, after the success of the previous box, I decided to continue the subscription for another couple of months, and see what I get. Here is the second review of three.

Wrestle Crate October 2016 Review

Overall, I wasn’t as impressed as this box as last month. I don’t understand one of the t-shirts, I’m not a big fan of the poster either. The DVD is great though, and I’m looking forward to watch it.

I’ve not yet got November’s box, but when it comes it will be put onto the YouTube channel. You can subscribe to my YouTube channel here.

Yes, I am Well Aware that I’m In The Metro Today talking About Jeremy Paxman Saying “Don Quicks-Oat”

So here is the tweet.

And Here is the story in the Metro. Which you have no doubt read and are reading this because a) you are a friend or an acquaintance of mine and b) you have read the story in the Metro.

So thank you for telling me about it, but there is really no need. I spend a lot of time on the internet and egosurf my name thanks to Mention. So I had an email alert about it. I can get away with egosurfing my own name as there aren’t really that many “Rhys Wynne’s” out there. There’s one who plays cricket. And one who plays for Mold Alexandra, and one who edits the Welsh Wikipedia (that I get copied into tweets constantly for) but that’s about it.

To be fair if that is a bit of my 15 minutes of fame, there are worst things to be famous for, commentating on high brow BBC2 entertainment. Even if I am proving Cunningham’s Law.

Right. That’s done. Now carry on with the day.

Play Expo Manchester 2016 – Recap

Recently (well, about a month or so ago) I attended Play Expo Manchester, which is one of the premier events in the UK calendar for the Retro Gaming community. I recorded a video on the event, which was first shared on my retro gaming blog Retro Garden, but I’m now sharing here.

Play Expo Manchester 2016 Video Review

Overall, I really enjoy these events and this year was no different. They always seem to find new ways to improve these events and this year as well as the Baby Pac-Man hybrid machine I really enjoyed playing the Metal Slug esque Dragon Bros and the Uridium styled Hyper Sentinel.

Games Mentioned in Play Expo 2016 Video

  • Dragon Bros – is a very fun shooter based on Metal Slug and Gunstar Heroes with vibrant graphics and a great look. It’s well worth hunting out if you are a fan of the genre.
  • Hyper Sentinel – is a game based on Uridium but using all the power of modern day machines. With a great look and cracking soundtrack, this is made slightly more forgiving than the original. Be sure to hunt this out!
  • WiFi Wars – a massively multiplayer Mobile enabled stage show. Seriously, go and see this!

Wrestle Crate September 2016 – Unboxing

Today we’re looking at another unboxing, but this one is slightly different, this is Wrestle Crate. Wrestle Crate have recently started including exclusive PROGRESS Wrestling merchandise in their boxes, PROGRESS being my favourite wrestling company in the world right now. I thought I’d take a shot at them. But what are my thoughts on this month’s box? Well, here is the video.

Wrestle Crate September 2016 Review

Overall, I was very happy with this box, it was probably my favourite box that I’ve unboxed so far. I love the DVD, it’s a great sample and includes my favourite match ever. The Funko Pop is good and I love the t-shirt. Overall, very very happy with the purchase.

I’ve got next month’s box, which will probably go up on YouTube soon. You can subscribe to my YouTube channel here.

Loot Gaming August 2016 Unboxing – Mecha

Today we’re focussing on Loot Gaming August 2016 unboxing, which is entitled “Mecha”. Yeah it’s a couple of months old, but this may be my last Loot Gaming review for a while.

This month I am a fan of none of the franchises. Zero. Which is a shame as the early boxes had a mix of stuff both quite old and quite new stuff. Now it seems pure epic modern franchises, which bar a select few, I’m not a fan of.

So I’ve cancelled the box for now. But I did review the final one – Mecha – which contains items from Deus Ex, Bioshock, Borderlands and other franchises I have never played. Here is the video.

So as you hear, the items themselves are nice, and it’s a really high quality box, but I’m just not a big a fan of the games to justify this box going forward. Which is a huge shame.

I’m probably not 100% done with Loot Gaming though, I’ve still subscribed to their newsletter so if a box tickles my fancy I’ll pick one up, but I think it will be a month by month thing.

Anyway, I’m still going to review loot boxes (I’ve a new one to do soon), so you can see what happens  if you subscribe to my Youtube Channel here.
